With a new year, comes another new line of Jurassic World figures offered by Mattel. This time, the subline’s name is Epic Evolution. While there is not many gimmicks showcasing ‘Epic Evolution’ except for the Gigantic Tracker class which has physical change gimmick. For this post, I am gonna give the list of all the toys available this year and please do let me know if I miss anything in the comments.
Mini Figure:
- SD03G Geosternbergia & Indoraptor
- SD04G Kaprosuchus & Sinotyrannus
- Chaos Theory Minis Multipack
I have provided the code numbers for the Mini-figure boxes for you to not get a trouble and the Multipack is super cool too. It has the cast of Chaos Theory in Mini-figures as well as a Becklespinax and Majungasaurus mini. You should definitely give this a shot!
Human Pack:
- Darius & Atrociraptor ‘Ghost’ Encounter Pack
- Kenji & Stygimoloch Defender Pack
- Yaz & Monolophosaurus Rescue Pack
- Darius Adventure Pack
- Ben Escape Pack
- Kenji Moto Chase Pack
- Suchomimus Protector Pack
I am so glad that the Human Packs are back and I would love to see more human figures as well but I am not at all disappointed with what we are getting. Almost the whole cast is here from Chaos Theory but the weird thing is that Sammy figure is not here. I hope it comes out soon. I am actually hyped for the Suchomimus Protector Pack and it’s gonna be amazing!! Make sure to get them quick because they sell out fast!
Danger Pack:
- Avaceratops
- Craterosaurus
- Eoraptor Vs. Stegouros
- Plesiosaurus
- Poposaurus
- Kileskus
- Baby Apatosaurus
- Dimorphodon
- Gallimimus
- Guanlong Vs. Lystrosaurus
- Rauisuchus
- Velociraptor (Repack)
A new lineup of the small size dinosaur and other prehistoric creature figures and the amazing thing this time is that they are offering 2 smaller dinosaurs or other prehistoric creature as one. Even though they are small, they still sport some articulation as they always have and it is wonderful to see new species every time as well as finding a species I had completely no idea about, like the Poposaurus and Craterosaurus. Make sure to also get these as soon as you can because kids get these really fast as they are small and cheaper compared to the larger figures!
Strike Attack:
- Guaibasaurus
- Kaprosuchus
- Tuojiangosaurus
- Velociraptor
- Chasmosaurus
- Dilophosaurus
- Gastonia
- Monolophosaurus
This lineup is mainly for smaller dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures but they are little bit larger than the last lineup and this time, while having 3 repeat species but one of them is a different design, all are new species not seen in any line of Mattel toys before which makes it so exciting. The hardest one for me to find was Guaibasaurus and Kaprosuchus but I was lucky enough to find it in market price, so don’t wait and get them now!
Wild Roar:
- Ekrixinatosaurus
- Gryposuchus
- Hesperosaurus
- Megalosaurus
- Ceratosaurus
- Majungasaurus ‘Major’
- Pachyrhinosaurus
- Parasaurolophus
I am really loving this year’s lineup so much, already there are 6 new species and the 2 old species are a different design which makes it new. I had to get all these guys from Amazon and keep reading till the end for my help on how to get them! I will never suggest to get from eBay unless you cannot find it anywhere near you but always keep checking your Amazon, Walmart, Target or even in toy stores when you are on a trip, you never know what you will find.
eBay should be your last resort and luckily, I did not have to resort to eBay. My favorite from here is probably the Ekrixinatosaurus and I also made a species profile, so don’t forget to check it out as well!!
Gigantic Tracker:
- Neovenator
- Triceratops (Gray Variant)
- Triceratops (Green Variant)
- Bajadasaurus
- Mapusaurus
Ah yes! The Gigantic Trackers line. This line has a special gimmick that it can sprout extra physical features for which the sub-line is named after, Epic Evolution. You press a button, the dinosaur will grow extra horns or spikes. For Triceratops, it will grow larger horns around the frill, which is not scientifically accurate but you get the point already.
It is also very nice to see Triceratops getting promoted to the larger dinosaur sub-line, in place of the medium size dinosaur because in reality, Triceratops are super big. The last 2 entries were a surprise but a welcome one! I cannot wait to get the Styxosaurus as I already had the last year’s Elasmosaurus and it was amazing too!!
Large Dinosaur:
- Ruthless Rampage Allosaurus
- Battle Roarin’ Becklespinax
- All Out Attack Tyrannosaurus Rex
This year, the main highlight is probably the Becklespinax. Becklespinax looks really good and very screen-accurate to the Chaos Theory that it looks like it jumped out from the screen. The Allosaurus and Tyrannosaurus is fine but nothing to write something about. The Allosaurus also has a gimmick of extending back spikes while the Tyrannosaurus grows larger teeth but the action feature seems to be very delicate and it could break easily. No wonder there is not many in this lineup this time. I pretty sure you can find them quite easily!
Vehicles and Play-sets:
This year’s only mainline vehicle set and it comes with an Einiosaurus. Not a bad and not a bad price either. Better to have it then losing it but it is up to you for this one!
- Mission Mayhem Truck Set
’93 Classic:
- Dennis Nedry Track & Chase Pack
- Tyrannosaurus Rex Off-Road Tracker Pack
It seemed like this year, we may not be too lucky with the ’93 Classic Collection with the first Pack reveal but that all changed with the Tyrannosaurus Rex Off-Road Tracker Pack. This pack is awesome!!! It has a Ray Arnold in a 90s aesthetic with a jeep, capture tools and a young Tyrannosaurus Rex based off the Kenner toyline and the coloration is impressive. I love the whole set and I cannot wait to get it!!! But all good things come to end but it gives rise to something better!!!
Legacy Collection:
- Barry Sembene ATV Chase Pack
- Isla Sorna Expedition Pack
- Diplodocus
This year’s Legacy Collection is pretty okay, most people may not be interested unless you care a lot about the human character figures but the new sauropod figure is epic. I mean, it’s a Diplodocus! We have seen it in museums and so many other media but not in Jurassic yet this is in Legacy Collection which makes me question, where was this guy in the films. Either way, it’s an excellent addition to the sauropod collection and a nice way to end the Legacy Collection because both Legacy and ’93 Classic Collection will be combined into one line. More info below.
Epic Attack:
- Herrerasaurus
- Pyroraptor
- Chomp Back Baryonyx
- Slash Attackin’ Spinosaurus
With the name change from Extreme Damage to Epic Attack, the lineup comes with 4 offerings. Although the smaller dinosaurs are good, the fun comes with the larger dinosaurs, Baryonyx and Spinosaurus. This Baryonyx is by far the largest Baryonyx in the Mattel Jurassic history and also a great redesign for Spinosaurus. The damage in Spinosaurus is quite gruesome but the spine is a different design and it is awesome to see this change! This is must buy for anyone!!!
Hammond Collection:
- Owen Grady (Jurassic World)
- Velociraptor ‘Blue’ (Jurassic World)
- Dimetrodon (Jurassic World Dominion)
- Velociraptor ‘Delta’ (Jurassic World)
- Pyroraptor (Jurassic World Dominion)
- Carnotaurus (Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom)
- Therizinosaurus (Jurassic World Dominion)
- Giganotosaurus (Jurassic World Dominion)
This year’s Hammond Collection is very much geared towards Jurassic World side of things and surprisingly, there has been no medium-size dinosaur figures yet but 2 medium-large size and 2 large-size dinosaurs. It is amazing to see the details and the coloration be so on point and it is great for an adult collector line. I have yet to get the Therizinosaurus & Giganotosaurus and the recent reveal of Allosaurus is so good that literally looks like a movie maquette!!
Legacy Collection Reimagined:
- Roarin’ Real Feel Carnotaurus
- Chopper Chase Pack
With the combination of ’93 Classic and Legacy Collection comes Legacy Collection Reimagined where they will make toys in homage to Kenner toyline and this is one of the first reveals, a real-feel Carnotaurus with roar sound effects. This Carnotaurus is based off an old Kenner toy which was called the Demon Carnotaurus and old time fans really loved it and Mattel is offering something similar for both younger and older fans and I feel this is a great start to a new line of toys. There is one more reveal yet to come for this year so make sure to come back for that update!
Mattel Creations:
Nothing at the moment unlike last year where they had Lab Tour with Dr. Henry Tour but the year has not ended yet and let’s see what they reveal.
San Diego Comic Con Exclusive:
Jurassic World Hammond Collection Bubbles Up Jimmy Buffett Figure
This year’s SDCC offering is a bit deep one and I am pretty sure not many people but the American song writer, Jimmy Buffett was in the Jurassic World’s fall and during the Dimorphodon and Pteranodon attack, everyone was running but he was special because he took 2 martinis in his hand and then ran away.
He had his priorities set and he was not leaving the martinis. He paid a good amount to enter and enjoy the pack and he ain’t letting some pesky Dimorpho-what’s it to ruin his drink. It’s a funny homage to the late writer and a great way for fans to honor him! Unfortunately, by now, he is already sold out on the Mattel Creations site and we may have to resort on eBay if you really want to get him as it will not affect your collection if you do not have him.
And with that, you have come to the end of the list of 2024’s Jurassic World Epic Evolution. I may have missed and please do let me know about it in the comments so that I can update it and there will be updates with newer reveals and please do come back to check again.
